Yogi Bhajan

7

Yogi Bhajan, a master of Kundalini Yoga, arrived in the United States from India in 1969 with a clear purpose:

I came to create Teachers, not to gather disciples“.

Since then, he has tirelessly traveled between America and Europe to spread Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness.
For 35 years, he taught all types of students on topics ranging from Ayurveda to meditation, from humanology to the science of sound, from psychology to cooking.

In 1969, Yogi Bhajan founded 3HO – an acronym for Healthy, Happy, and Holy, based on his founding principle “Happiness is your birthright”.
In 1994, he also created the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) to support teachers, and the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) to organically preserve and spread his teachings.

Yogi Bhajan passed away in October 2004, but Kundalini Yoga continues to be one of the guiding lights of the Age of Aquarius.
